Planning a budget wedding

Trying to plan a wedding with a $5000 budget is turning out to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. Some places we looked at want $1500 more than our entire budget just for the venue site and catering. I will update on my success or failure as time progresses. (We still haven't found a venue, yet, nor have we sent our save the dates.)
